Proto plier wrench

So we're just talking about smooth jaw channel locks? I don't care if they are made by knipex or proto, they probably aren't taking loose whatever I'm working on taking loose. I could see for what coaldust does, or in a plumbing situation. But I like to crank things down tight.....

The ones in Old Doug's pic look similar to the knipex plier wrench and appear to give a lot of leverage on the grip. More than a standard channel lock/water pump plier?
