Hey, I'm new here. Just picked up a Hitachi UH123 that runs pretty well, and I'm looking for undercarriage parts. I've hit a dead end trying to find sprockets and chains for it. I've heard somewhere that JD792D sprockets and chains might work as a substitute? Does anyone know where to look, or is there anyone selling them? If I could get the dimensions, pitch, teeth count, bolt pattern, or a dimensioned diagram, I could cast or machine my own.
Hitachi UH123 sprocket's and chains

FabyanjimNew Member#1 Universal PartsNew Member#2 Do you still have the track plates on there? If you measure the total length of your track and let me know, I can help you match up the chain and figure out how many links you'd need.
Diesel DaveSenior Member#3 Welcome. The UH123 sprocket is the same as the Deere 792 straight, part number 1006761. Just so you know, when you replace the sprockets you'll need to disassemble the final drive because the sprocket mounting hardware faces the track frame.
FabyanjimNew Member#4 Yeah, it's definitely going to be a hassle, but from what I'm hearing the sprockets do match up with the Deere 792. Does that mean the chains will work too? My buddy at JD was checking into it but I wasn't totally sure. The sprockets are backordered right now, so if they fit I'm going to go ahead and order them.
FabyanjimNew Member#5 What do you mean by 792 "straight"? That's the Hitachi part number I have listed in my parts book.
FabyanjimNew Member#6 So I found out that straight means standard track. Thanks for that! If you've got any other details about this stuff, I'm definitely interested in learning more.
Diesel DaveSenior Member#7 I meant just a 792 with no letter on it.
Diesel DaveSenior Member#8 If your track chain was originally 46 links, the part numbers for chains without shoes are Deere #AT317674, Berco #KM 3268 A/46, and VPI #VKM959/46HD.
