Thanks Nige! Once you get your air system leak figured out you can try adjusting the slack adjusters. The common problems with these brakes are components being frozen in place. The slacks have grease fitting and haven't been grease to they froze. The S cam shaft is frozen in place. The brake show anchor pins might be frozen to the shoe. I don't recall if there are backing plates hiding the shoes on these but I suspect they are just like a truck S cam set up and three small bolts can be removed to be able to inspect the linings on the shoes. Somehow I keep getting older, but I have still been operating 3 pieces of equipment by myself. I use the D-9 Cat to shove up a pile of material, then load the scraper with the excavator, and then head down the mountain so I can build up my roadbed enough that the snow will blow off of it. There is no help out here in the wilds of Wyoming..
