Congratulations! I guess that Kubota mechanic's instincts were right. Likely a broken wire. I'm constantly fighting mice encroachment in my excavator (parked outside). I've tried just about everything to keep them out of the machine (and same with our cars parked outside). Sooner or later I know they will get to a wire. Best, A

Get that liquid Mouse Out and spray around where you park it. From what I’ve heard, people with campers and RV’s are having great luck with it. I have tried dryer sheets (They make nests out of them), Cab Fresh, same personal results and expensive. I have a gallon in the basement and being that I just had back surgery again, as soon as I’m able, I’m going to keep the dog in for a few hours and spray that and Gordon’s Equine/Bovine Permerithim for for ticks, all around the house, lawns and fields.

It’s been awhile but I’m gonna update this post, kx040-4 with 4800 hrs, has naked wires inside almost every wire loom clamp in engine bay, I’m guessing from from the vibration
