I have no idea if this is equipment related or not but my father in law bought this for $5 at a flea market and can’t find anyone that knows what it is. I haven’t had any luck with an internet search other than to find out what company made it. No model numbers or anything. What does the brain trust think on it?

crane operatorSuper User#3 What's it do if you plug it in? Another picture of the tip from a different angle might help. Is it a heated tip? with a little air pump for the plastic tube for soldering with a fluxing gas? Airbrush? Engraver with air removal? I'd plug it in. What's the worst that can happen

ahartSenior Member#6 It’s got a rotary drive inside the long tube, I’ll try to get more pictures. I dont think it’s a cryotherapy gun simply due to the company that manufactured it, they weren’t into the medical business as far as I can tell. Certainly would be helpful if it at least had a model number to reference.

Thor IIRC has not been in business for a long time (hence the old aluminum not modern plastic motor housing) the rest looks like was made by a toolmaker. Could also been made for a Vetinarian school.

Truck ShopSuper User#9 Thor was involved in all types of manufacturing and owned several companies using the Thor name. From stamping tools, riveters, washing machines, vacuum cleaners, to building motorcycle parts for Indian Thor introduced the first sidecar. But the other companies Thor owned and products branded Thor was wide. So that tool could have been built/marketed to a very small base. Looks like some kind of cauterizing tool.

Truck ShopSuper User#12 It's a tool to invade colon wall, attack and shrink swollen prostates by burning/cauterizing administering anesthetic at same time in the form of Carolina Reaper hot pepper juice which allows for less pain and creates a antiseptic at same time. Works best on men with bubbly positive outlooks it has been said in pier reviews.

A little more info, and that thing will be up and doing whatever it's supposed to be doing, in no time at all. If only we could build a conex shop so quickly.

But as you all know, busy gets rewarded with more work every time. Let’s just hope the guy comes through and gets on it.
CoaldustSuper User#16 That’s a genuine USGI Discombobulator directed energy weapon. T$ was telling us about those things. Be careful where you point it. I can’t overstate that.
