Was using loader the other day. I stopped to do something and when I put it in gear again it wouldn't move forward or back. I can hear some relays click in the panel by the door.

Check trans oil in lower box. It's common to lose oil and not know it.

What type of oil is in there?

Well it was low. I added quite a bit but it didn't change anything. Does it get air or something in the system? Anything else to check?

Sorry, should be 15w40 . Should be a dipstick on the side of the transmission case. Or a check plug beside the prop shaft.

Have you only lost drive? everything else ok?

I'm attaching troubleshooting for the electrical side of things.

The easiest thing to do is place the APS in manual or service. Then watch your display as you select gears. You should see F1, F2 etc then do the same in reverse. R1 R2 etc. On the shift solenoid cover there is a map indicating which solenoids should be energized when a gear is selected.

Check to see if s1 is getting power on the gear selector valve, it isn't 12345 top to bottom though i think its 4,1,3,5,2 top to bottom, it should be stamped into the block though, if s1 has power there is a drain duct in or near the bottom solenoid valve in the block, make sure that isn't blocked.

what serial number/ year is it? Aps was an option on the L90's, the L90B's onward was standard

so it's a 1993 machine and from factory it had a HT131 trans part number 30846 s/n 11501 would be worth checking to see if it's still original trans

Hi, I'm having the same issue where the machine won't go into gear. I measured the solenoids and found that the 1st solenoid has no power. I checked the APS connection and discovered that the transmission control is already bypassed on the APS module side. I opened the bypass module and found a blown diode and a burnt circuit board track. What size/rating diode should I use to replace it (the markings on the old one are unreadable)? Also, when I reconnected the APS module, the engine wouldn't start and the indicator light didn't work. Does anybody have a machine manuals to share?
