Just heard from a local Supplier from MFA here that Urea based products are becoming limited. In fertilizer is not so much a concern as are some volumes of pre-purchased inventories still in inventory that should hold awhile, however, the events around the other side of the Globe have caused refiners that produce the DEF products to Shut Down due to a lack of LNG. Another shoe to drop against dependence and use of DOC Systems.

Found used one on the ebay for same price as new but it worked. No parts available, can't bypass that crap (legally). Companies and O/O's at the mercy of this stupidity, still making payments on a vehicle they couldn't use.
Truck ShopSuper User#3 I use to care about the environment, but it's getting less as time goes by. I'm beginning to think with all the issues of today, to hell with it. Every diesel should pour smoke out the stack, people should start burning old tires, fan belts & motor oil world wide, clouds of dark smoke. New rule--if it doesn't create smoke when burned, then you can't use it. s
HarleyHappySuper User#4 Well, maybe if the goal post hadn’t changed so many times and sides switched, people would actually care. As humans, we generally know, right from wrong, it’s the people that don’t care, makes me prefer dogs over people.
Truck ShopSuper User#5 Said I use to care, I think you said the other day I don't like people, preferring dogs over people is the same thing. * Only way is to get everyone on board--I personally would like to see rickshaws make a comeback.
HarleyHappySuper User#6 Whoa! I never said you don’t like people but if I did, it seems like you’re grumpy. Lol I never said I prefer people over dogs. I don’t like people, that’s why I live in the woods, with a long ass driveway. So I don’t have many people dropping by. Lol People disappoint me, dogs usually not. This could get political real fast but if your neighbors are treating the world like a dump, it doesn’t mean you have to also. My yard is always clean, my wife and I always cringe and comment, when we drive by pickers houses.
BC Placer goldSenior Member#7 I wonder if they could have left well enough alone as seen by the late 90's technology. I am very much impressed by the electronic C12 in our 1999 International. Starts up perfectly down to -10c (probably lower but use block heater; so don't know), burns really clean (just see heat waves out stack), never seen any smoke at all and gets really good fuel economy! For a small operation (personal use a several times per season) such as ours where the trucks sits for months, a full emissions unit probably would not be all that economically feasible...

Not hardly---note the small {s} at end of first post. * Now to the point of DM's post--LNG. In late 70's Shell had Brinkerhoff Signal punch 4 very deep wells {15,000 ft plus} in Kittitas county, not for oil but natural gas. Drilled and have set capped ever since. And that was only a few of the many that were drilled/ capped.
DMillerSenior Member#9 A lot depends of Contaminate gases also in the NG. Wells in IL have a great deal of Sulphur, nasty to remove so those stay capped as also Corrosive as hell. Almost sorry stirred hornets nest, then again Not! See no value in a system that credits Typical Reduction at less than 15% and Best attainable at 25%, where costs excessively, uses fuel to make function as cannot on its own, and chokes itself up on the crap supposed to "Destroy" that never has. Costs are transferred Trickle Down back to anyone as Consumer. Spent 25 years around Diesels full time, Winter shop atmosphere a Cloud of gray/blue haze. Black Boogers, smell of diesel on and in me for hours after left. HOWEVER, Smoked like a Forest Fire, Marlboros or Camels from 2-5 packs Daily drank coffee from open cup sitting on toolbox, ate lunch in same area. Nose filtered out much of the particulate, and much of that Oil not fuel. Driptroits, OLD Series Low Compression Cummins or Cats. A LOT of Hard Smokers like Mack and so far made it to 69. Great Uncle hauled water for Steamers on Thrashing machines, then to Brakeman and stoker on Pennsy RR, another Great Uncle worked switch yards as Standard Oil, Asbestos dust, raw oil fumes, Coal ash and Smoke, we even had Coal Furnace in house until was six, played in Coal Bunker. Those two older men lived into late 80s, Dad and Uncle (His Brother) worked A&E after WWII, Bathed in RAW Gas to get oil off, washed Lye soap to get gas off, Unc died 93, Dad at 83, both around Av Gas, Asbestos Brakes, Hydraulic Oils, Asbestos Blanket insulation and even Home Siding. So I can say I appreciate Cleaner air, just not ever had much of it and not exactly killed me yet. Still Weld, Still Gas Axe, still end up black boogers, probably will until last days capable.

Welder DaveExpert#11 Alberta has lots of clean natural gas just like oil. With the current situation maybe they should treat it as a prized possession.
DMillerSenior Member#12 Well, became official as has hit the Lame Stream News services.
AllDodgeSenior Member#13 Picked up another 2.5 gal of Urea (Walmart 8.88) and thought about getting more, but the shelf life isn't great unless stored at the right temp
Truck ShopSuper User#14 As long as it doesn't freeze it will last for some time.

Yes it does do that--our trucks have heaters, but stored in a area that temp stays above freezing it will last a long time.
